Yes it’s from window screen (or is it screening). I cut my piece of fiberglass plastic coated window screen 2″ x 6″ with regular scissors. Finished treasure bag is approx 2-3/4″ tall x 2″ wide. Simply weave the threads/floss in the screen, up and down the 6″ width. Leave excess strands of threads at on one end for the beads. When finished weaving, stitch the sides together up 2-1/2″ with the thread/floss on each side. The flap will be about 1″, with the excess thread strands hanging down. Thread beads (place small amount of glue on thread for ease of attaching beads) onto the excess strands of threads/floss cut off excess. Braid a about 9 strands of thread/floss for hanging(I didn’t cut my hanging strands as long as I would have liked so measure first how long you want it to hang.) I clamped a cording type jewelry finding and a jump ring to attach braided hanging cord to the treasure bag. It really was easy to do, I did the weaving in an evening watching TV
Is this EcoFriendly??? Yep!!! Next time you need to replace screens, be sure to use the screening for
